DUV Scholarships for Outstanding Community Engagement

The DUV scholarships recognize outstanding student community engagement through the Center for Student Involvement.

All three scholarship applications are available each JANUARY in the Center for Student Involvement office.

The Coalhouse Scholarship

The Coalhouse Scholarship is given annually to a Duquesne University students who exhibits concern and commitment to the community. Students applying for this scholarship must be a current freshman, sophomore, or junior in order to qualify. However, the largest stipulation for this award is that the applicant must demonstrate a "spirit to make this a fair world for all people.

The McCloskey Memorial Award

The McCloskey Memorial Award is available to freshman or sophomore students who volunteer their time and energy to service to the campus and community.

The James V. Donatelli Endowed Scholarship

The Donatelli Endowed Scholarship is awarded to any incoming freshman, undergraduate or graduate student whose demonstration of community engagement has been exemplary This student will have demonstrated on-going and long term service to their community.
