Outcome Measures
The success of our program can be measured in terms of the percentage of students finishing the program within the expected time, the number of students passing the national examination, and the percentage of graduates finding jobs. These outcome measures are reported below.
Program Completion
First, the graduate portion of the program (also known as the professional phase) is six semesters long over two calendar years. 100% of our graduates in the last three years completed the program within the expected six semesters.

Praxis Exam Pass Rate
To earn ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence students must pass a national examination (often referred to as the ASHA Exam. The most recent nation report revealed that the average pass rate for all graduate programs was 83.3% for students graduating in 2007, 2008, and 2009. Our students exceeded that rate by over 15 percentage points; Duquesne's three year average is 100%.

Employment
A third outcome measure is how readily graduates are employed. By student self-report, over the past three years of 100% of our graduates were employed in the profession within three months of graduation.
