Duquesne University Diversity & Inclusion Fair 2017
April is Celebrate Diversity Month, started in 2004 to recognize and honor the diversity that surrounds us. By celebrating differences and similarities during this month, we hope that members of our campus community will gain a deeper appreciation for one another.
The Offices of Human Resources, Diversity & Inclusion and International Programs, and the Division of Mission and Identity, invite you to participate in the University's 2017 Diversity and Inclusion Fair. We are asking participants to do two things:
- Submit a short (up to 350 words) description of their diversity and inclusion efforts, to be placed in the Diversity and Inclusion Fair 2017 program booklet (please forward your description to Marla Bradford, Senior Recruiter and Diversity Recruiting Leader, by April 10th); and
- Send one or two representatives to the Fair to staff an information table to display and share information about programs and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
The Fair is scheduled for Tuesday, April 25th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Charles Dougherty Ballroom. Participants will have access to the ballroom starting at 9:30 a.m.
The Diversity and Inclusion Fair will encourage community members to engage and be inspired by what is offered for our students, faculty and staff. We want all who work and study at Duquesne to know that their contributions matter, and that they will be supported in achieving their full potential. Building an environment of inclusion is stitched into the fabric of our mission, and integrated into our shared Spiritan values. We hope that you will join us in recognizing and celebrating Duquesne's wonderfully diverse community.
Please contact Marla at extension 1403 with any questions.
