The Foundation of Our Rich and Vital Community

Diversity is important at Duquesne University. It is the foundation for our rich and vital community of learners—academically talented and motivated students from a variety of backgrounds. We provide support, services and independence to help students become learners and leaders.

Duquesne comprises a diverse population, including:

Students from all 50 states and more than 90 countries

Men and women from urban and rural areas, representing a wide range of faiths, races and socio-economic backgrounds.

Although we are Catholic in our founding, more than half of Duquesne’s students are non-Catholic.
