Whether you are a student just beginning college or a Duquesne University graduate, the Center for Career Development is here to support you at every stage of your professional journey. We help students and alumni explore careers, connect with employers, and develop professional and job search skills through programs, events, and one-on-one career counseling.

Career and Major Exploration with Focus 2 Career
Duquesne’s Center for Career Development is here to help you find a major and career path that is right for you! Students and alumni can utilize Focus 2 Career, Duquesne’s online career, major and education exploration planning system for helping you choose a major, build your career goals and learn important job information. Focus 2 Career gives you free access to a wide range of career assessments that help you explore your values, skills, interests and personality. Based upon your results, it then makes suggestions of possible career paths and Duquesne majors that could be a fit for you. It also links you to important career information and resources to help you evaluate your options and make an informed decision.

Prepare for future rotations, residencies, internships, and professional opportunities with this interactive practice interview event designed exclusively for pharmacy students. The PERC Education Job Fair is a well-respected regional and national recruitment event that attracts more than 200 employers from across the U.S. and several international organizations each year. Participating employers meet and hire teacher candidates in all Pre K-12 disciplines, as well as relat Students will learn practical tips and strategies from a recruiter on how to ace their next interview and land the position; topics include researching the employer, first impressions, common questions, follow-up and more!

I began utilizing DukesConnect to network with fellow Dukes and it's been so
much more than a social network for me, it's been a lifeline! Not only have I connected
with alumni and Career Center staff, but it's great for virtually networking during
these crazy times with events such as Coffee and Connections or Dining with Dukes.

When I participated on the DU Career Center's Career Road Trip to the Columbus
Blue Jackets, it helped me to take initiative on my own career in sports. We got the
chance to talk with Duquesne Alumni who have made it to the executive level of their
organization and learn first hand what it takes to get there.
Meeting with my Career Consultant throughout my time at Duquesne and even as
an alumni has benefited me in my job search by giving me the confidence that my resume
is as polished as possible.
