Biography

As assistant vice president of business services, Chase Loper provides leadership, strategic vision, and oversight of the Procurement and Payment Services (PPS) department, Shared Services Center (SSC), and the University’s Facilities Stores operation within the division of finance and business. Loper focuses on cross-functional collaboration with key stakeholders to accomplish operational excellence and process improvement.

PPS is responsible for the oversight and execution of the University’s procure-to-pay process, including but not limited to the review and issuing of purchased orders; payment processing; management of the procurement card program; general contract management; supplier sourcing and management; among others. The SSC operation is responsible for licensing and software contract review; providing budgetary and strategic support for various departments on campus; serving as a liaison of the execution of financial transactions; and the handling of internal billing procedures. The Facilities Stores operation procures, manages, and distributes materials and supplies utilized by the university’s facilities management team.

Loper serves on the following University committees: Business Managers Council; President's Advisory Council on Diversity and Inclusion; and United Way
