Duquesne graduates often express gratitude for the trust, patience and sense of responsibility they experience on the Bluff. They demonstrate the long-term emotional rewards of belonging and affiliation, treating others with the compassion and empathly they enjoyed as students.
Many alumni--along with friends, parents, faculty and staff who have been touched by the Duquesne spirit--choose to pay it forward, making generous financial gifts to strengthen the University for current and future students. Thousands contributed a total of more than $345 million during the Ignite campaign--the largest fundraising drive in University history--which concluded in 2025.
But our pursuit of bigger goals never ends, and we have even more ambitious plans as we approach our 150th anniversary in 2028. New health science facilities, alleviating student debt, expanding engineering programs and offering more study abroad opportunities are among the many ways you can help us build momentum and elevate Duquesne to even greater prominence and achievements.

Advancing Health Care
If our founding Spiritans returned to Pittsburgh today, they would be astounded at how this once-smoky industrial city has become a global hub for advanced medical research and treatment. They would also be dismayed by the fact that people living within blocks of world-class hospitals, or just a short drive away, experience obstacles and disparities in accessing quality care. They would resolve to fix the problem, and today, Duquesne is doing exactly that. Our new Nasuti College of Osteopathic Medicine, along with long-established and nationally-recognized Schools of Health Sciences, Nursing and Pharmacy and the Center for Integrative Health, distinctively position Duquesne as a leader in professional collaboration and community outreach. The Business of Difference Making
Duquesne University's Rockwell Hall has been transformed through gifts to the Ignite campaign. The home of the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business has been reimagined and renovated, sparking improvements to every aspect of the curriculum and student experience.

News releases detail recent gifts, including the announcement of the second-largest gift in University history. The Nasuti College of Osteopathic Medicine is named in honor of donors Jim and Celeste Nasuti and their family.
The Donors' House
Located on the site of the former A.J. Palumbo Center, UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse opened in 2020. It serves as the home court for men's and women's basketball and volleyball, but more than that, it's a hub of academic support, physical training, and wellness facilities for all of Duquesne's more than 400 student-athletes.
