Biography

Dr. Peter Gianiodis is the inaugural holder of the Merle E. Gilliand Professor in Entrepreneurial Finance. He has taught capstones course in Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management to both undergraduate and graduate students, as well as courses on Innovation Management. Prior to Duquesne, he spent 10 years at Clemson University.

Dr. Gianiodis researches at the intersection of entrepreneurship, technology management, and strategy. He has explored market entry across several contexts, including new venture entry into mature markets, and technology commercialization from university startups.

His scholarly work appears in the Academy of Management Review, Organization Science, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Management, Journal of Business Venturing, Academy of Management Perspectives, and recently in the California Management Review.

Dr. Gianiodis serves on the board of several journals, including the Academy of Management Perspectives.
