Biography

Susan Williams initially joined Duquesne University School of Nursing in 2006 as the Nurse Recruiter for the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs. After completing her MSN in Nursing Education in 2015 at Duquesne, she taught part time online in the RN-BSN program. She accepted a fulltime faculty position in 2016 teaching undergraduate students in the classroom and online. She also has responsibilities for simulation and teaching clinical skills in the Learning and Skills Center.

Ms. Williams holds a MSN from Duquesne University and a BSN from Erie Institute for Nursing/Mercyhurst University and Villa Maria College. She has an extensive clinical background in critical care nursing, occupational health and perioperative nursing. Her interests are in clinical simulation and clinical skill acquisition.

Ms.Williams is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International. As a member of the Epsilon Phi Chapter, she held the position of Leadership Committee Co-Chair. She also a member of the Association of Standardized Patient Educators (ASPE), the National League of Nursing (NLN), and the Duquesne University School of Nursing Alumni Association.
