Biography

Dr. Weideman began teaching at Duquesne University in 2004 as a part time clinical instructor and joined the full time faculty in 2008. Dr. Weideman earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Duquesne University, her Masters in Business Administration from Robert Morris University and her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Duquesne University. Dr. Weideman's scholarship has emerged through the intersection of her clinical expertise, passion for nursing education with a focus on virtual learning and desire to positively impact the health of communities and the people residing in them. It has included a patent for a Virtual Pregnancy learning tool, two creative teaching awards, an award for innovation in nursing education and multiple peer reviewed articles and presentations

Dr. Weideman is a certified wound, ostomy and continence nurse (CWOCN), foot care nurse (CFCN) and nursing educator (CNE). She is a member of the Phi Epsilon Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, Golden Key Honor Society, and the National League for Nurses. In 2022 Dr. Weideman was inducted as a Scholar of the Global Academy of Holistic Nursing (SGAHN).
