The Wecht Institute’s next Forensic Friday will explore the investigative, media and ethical considerations behind Missing White Woman Syndrome at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 3 in the Africa Room and via Zoom.

Missing White Woman Syndrome is a term coined by the late PBS news anchor Gwen Ifill that refers to the media’s apparent preference for covering missing or endangered white women while appearing less interested in cases involving missing people of color.
