The University’s IGNITE comprehensive fundraising campaign has been recognized with two prestigious international communications awards.
Duquesne’s IGNITE feature video received silver recognition in the Non-Broadcast General: Educational Institution category as part of the 44th Annual Telly Awards. Selected from more than 12,000 global entries, Telly Award winners represent work from respected advertising agencies, television stations, production companies and publishers.
Duquesne’s Department of Advancement Communications (AC) worked with Pittsburgh-based marketing and communications agency Blink on the video. AC Executive Director Bob Woodside wrote the script and served as co-producer with AC Associate Vice President Mary Beth Ford.
In addition, the IGNITE video, which integrated campaign materials—including a print case statement, website and multiple videos—won an Award of Distinction in Corporate Communications in conjunction with the 29th Annual Communicator Awards.
The Communicator Awards, presented by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, is the leading international awards program recognizing excellence and innovation across all areas of communication. The program receives nearly 5,000 entries annually from companies, agencies, studios and boutique shops. The IGNITE website and case statement were written by Woodside and designed by Blink.
Duquesne’s IGNITE campaign previously received a Silver CUPPIE Award from the College and University Public Relations and Associated Professionals.
