In a momentous celebration that will continue over the next few weekends, Duquesne is celebrating its 2023 Spring graduates at various commencement ceremonies.

For many students, graduation marks the culmination of years of hard work, dedication and sacrifice. But for all, it’s just the beginning of a journey filled with even bigger goals.

Duquesne honored more than 1,340 members of the Class of 2023 at school graduation ceremonies May 5 and 6. In addition, honorary doctorates of humane letters were awarded to philanthropic leader Catharine M. Ryan and former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Bill Cowher at the McAnulty College and Graduate School of Liberal Arts ceremony, during which Cowher presented a very inspiring Commencement address.

Upcoming ceremonies include the Thomas R. Kline School of Law of Duquesne University commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 13, and the School of Pharmacy ceremony on Saturday, May 20.

As the graduates move forward, they carry the Duquesne spirit with them, embodying the values of ethical leadership, academic excellence and compassionate service. The Duquesne community looks forward to seeing them use their knowledge and skills to make a positive difference in the world.
