We would like to introduce you to our newest member of the team, Kala Findley, PharmD.
Previous work experience:
Out of pharmacy school I worked in community and hospital settings but then eventually found my niche in specialty. At my last position, I worked at a specialty pharmacy that was dedicated to those with rare and devastating diseases. During my time there, I was able to lead and mentor my wonderful team and it really opened my eyes to what I truly loved – mentoring.
Personal Hobbies/Activities:
If I’m not chasing my two kids around then anything outside, especially in the summer! I love running, hiking, anything that involves water. I purchased a stand-up paddle board last year and it has become my favorite hobby!
What you enjoy most about your job:
I love everything about my job. I enjoy working with the students and the preceptors each day. The staff at The School of Pharmacy and my team in Experiential are phenomenal. The passion for the profession, teaching, and serving others is contagious and exciting. I also love that every day is different and keeps me on my toes!
