An Interactive Online Orientation Experience
All Duquesne students have access to Essentials in Online Learning at Duquesne, an informative orientation experience designed to help prepare students to be effective online learners. Interactive modules are provided on the following topics:
- Duquesne Resources (an introduction to the key services and support resources available to online students)
- Orientation to Canvas (an introduction to Duquesne's online course environment where you can practice navigating a course and experience the tools used in most online courses)
- Online Learning Skills (a framework for how to approach online learning that outlines tips and strategies for success)

New students are encouraged to meet with their student success coach or academic advisor before courses begin. Your academic program may feature additional orientation processes and support resources to help you get started.
