Biography

Dr. Abigail Pastorek earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Duquesne University School of Pharmacy in 2022 and went on to complete a PGY1 Community-Based Pharmacy Residency through the Duquesne University Center for Pharmacy Care. Throughout her training and professional career, she has focused on community-based patient care, public health initiatives, chronic disease management, and expanding access to healthcare services.

Dr. Pastorek currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Duquesne University School of Pharmacy and practices with the Duquesne University Center for Integrative Health. In her role, she enjoys helping student pharmacists connect classroom learning to real-world patient care experiences through community outreach, experiential education, and practice-based learning.

Her professional interests include immunizations, chronic disease management, and community engagement. She is an active member of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) and the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association (PPA).

Outside of work, Dr. Pastorek enjoys spending time with her husband, John, their dog, Arnie, family and friends, cheering on Pittsburgh sports teams, and planning her next travel adventure.
