Afshan Khan

Afshan Khan is the Director of Professional Development and Executive Education, an Entrepreneur-in-Residence, and Adjunct Professor at Duquesne University's Palumbo-Donahue School of Business.  She supports the graduate student community and works to ensure a smooth transition from education to career advancement.  She also supports our corporate partners in the advancement and professional growth of high-potential employees through executive education and engagement with Duquesne's programs.

Afshan brings a rare combination of operator, investor, and academic perspectives shaped by leadership roles across venture investing, advanced manufacturing, and global operations.

Afshan served as a Portfolio Executive for Hardware and Robotics at Innovation Works, one of the nation's leading early-stage investors.  Her work included sourcing and evaluating companies for investment, advising founders on strategy, fundraising, and operations, and serving as a board director and advisor.

Afshan was also CEO of Focal Point Products, a global manufacturing and distribution company of building materials. Her leadership experience spanned M&A, global partnerships, workforce negotiation, and operational scaling.
