Biography

Ben Cacioppo is the Ensemble Librarian for the Mary Pappert School of Music at Duquesne University, where he previously served as a graduate assistant.

A native of Somers Point, New Jersey, Ben began playing trumpet at age ten before transitioning to horn in high school. He earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Business from Grove City College, studying horn with James Scanga, and later completed a Master of Music in Horn Performance at Duquesne University under Mark Houghton.

Ben previously worked for the Butler County Symphony Orchestra as Administrative Assistant and Box Office Supervisor. He has performed with the Butler County Symphony and in numerous local high school musical productions.

In addition to his performance work, Ben teaches private horn lessons through Duquesne's City Music Center and his home studio.
