Biography
In addition to being a Teaching Fellow in the Dept. of Catholic Studies at Duquesne University, Christopher Cimorelli serves as Director of the National Institute for Newman Studies and Editor of the Newman Studies Journal. He is also an Honorary Fellow of the Dept. of Theology and Religion, Durham University (UK). Cimorelli has published widely on St. John Henry Newman and was both privileged and humbled to play a significant role in Newman's successful cause to be declared a Doctor of the Universal Church. He researches and teaches in the following areas, among others: conflict and catechesis; conscience; doctrinal development and tradition; ecotheology, theological imaginaries, and theological historiography.
