Biography
Dalton Crump is the Health Technology Specialist (Simulation Lab) at Duquesne University's School of Nursing, where he helps bring high-fidelity simulation experiences to life for graduate nursing students. In his role, Dalton supports the day-to-day operation of the simulation lab, manages simulation equipment and technology, and works closely with faculty to ensure each simulation aligns with course goals and learning objectives.
Dalton is a Nationally Registered Paramedic with nine years of experience in prehospital emergency care, along with a strong background in quality improvement and clinical education. Before joining Duquesne, he served as a Lead EMT Instructor at the Community College of Allegheny County, where he emphasized hands-on learning, scenario-based education, and student success. He also worked as a full-time Paramedic at Ross West View EMSA and continues to practice there part-time in his free time.
Outside of work, Dalton enjoys endurance training, fishing, and spending time with his wife, Sarah, along with their three dogs and three cats.
