Biography

Jennifer DiGiovanni is a Deputy District Attorney at the Allegheny County District Attorney's Office. She received her B.A. from Hofstra University in 1992 and her J.D., Cum Laude, from Duquesne Kline School of Law in 1996. Immediately following her graduation from law school, Ms. DiGiovanni spent two years as a law clerk on the Pennsylvania Superior Court where she assisted in drafting appellate court decisions in both criminal and civil matters. Thereafter, Ms. DiGiovanni joined the Office of the Allegheny County District Attorney. Ms. DiGiovanni serves as a Deputy District Attorney and currently supervises the Child Abuse and Crimes against Persons Units. In that capacity, Ms. DiGiovanni supervises the prosecution of all cases in which children are the victims of physical and/or sexual abuse and all cases in which adults are victims of sexual abuse and serious physical assaults. In addition to her supervisory duties, Ms. DiGiovanni also continues to try criminal cases.

Prior to becoming a Deputy, Ms. DiGiovanni spent eight years as an Assistant District Attorney in the Child Abuse Unit where she prosecuted hundreds of cases involving the physical and sexual abuse of children. Ms. DiGiovanni also serves as a member of the Pennsylvania District Attorneys Institute Education and Training Committee. The Education and Training Committee provides educational materials and training seminars for District Attorneys throughout the Commonwealth.
