Biography
Julia Nainiger is a trombonist based in the Pittsburgh area. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Trombone Performance from Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, Ohio, and a Master of Music in Trombone Performance from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
An active orchestral musician, Julia has performed with numerous regional ensembles, including the Westmoreland Symphony, Erie Philharmonic, Youngstown Symphony, and Akron Symphony. She has also had the pleasure of performing with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.
Julia is also a founding member of Pittsburgh Chamber Brass, an ensemble dedicated to presenting brass chamber music recitals throughout the region. Her commitment to the musical community extends to private instruction and chamber ensemble coaching, where she works with students of various ages.
Julia has previously held a variety of administrative positions at the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University.
When she is not performing or teaching, Julia enjoys spending time with her husband, David, and their three cats.
