Marshall Henry

Marshall Henry is the Director of Bands at McKnight and Peebles Elementary Schools in the North Allegheny School District. Marshall is also the assistant high school marching band director at North Allegheny. He held a previous teaching position at Avonworth School District as a general music and orchestra teacher. He is originally from Pittsburgh, PA where he went to North Allegheny Senior High School. He then attended Penn State University where he was a Music Education major and graduated in May 2022 with honors from the Schreyer Honors College, a Performers Recognition Award and an emphasis in secondary music education. During his time at Penn State, he was in the Marching Blue Band for all four years with holding a section leader position as well as serving the band as the recruitment chair. He was also involved in the Hockey band and Volleyball band in addition to many other performing concert ensembles. Marshall is now pursuing a master's in music education at the University of Florida. He sustains a professional playing career outside of school through various bands and performances in Pittsburgh.
