Sara's primary role at counseling services is the Outreach Coordinator. In addition to this role, she is one of the Assistant Directors and Psychotherapists. She has been a part of the Counseling Services' team since August 2021.
Sara received her Bachelor of Science degree in Child and Family Relations with a Psychology minor from Indiana University of PA. She received her Master of Arts degree in Clinical-Community Psychology from Point Park University. Sara is currently a doctoral candidate in at Grand Canyon University in the Organization Leadership with an Emphasis in Behavioral Health doctoral program with an anticipated graduation date in 2024.
One of Sara's key responsibilities as the outreach coordinator is coordinating and facilitating various psychoeducational presentations/workshops/seminars/events to support the mental wellbeing of the campus community. Another key responsibility of Sara's is in reference to supporting students' mental wellbeing is providing a range of counseling services including individual therapy, group therapy, consultations, and case management.
Sara is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of PA.
