Duquesne University will honor the Class of 2024 during its various spring Commencement ceremonies in May.

U.S. Senator Mark R. Warner from the Commonwealth of Virginia, Superintendent of Pittsburgh Public Schools Dr. Wayne N. Walters, William E. Conway Jr., founder of the Carlyle Group and Apple Vice President of Hardware Engineering and Operations Matthew Costello are among this year’s Commencement speakers.

“We’re proud to celebrate this incredible class of Duquesne University students as they prepare to begin meaningful careers with confidence and a greater sense of purpose to make an even bigger impact in their professions and on the people they serve,” said Duquesne President Ken Gormley.

“In addition, we’re thrilled to host so many compelling and dynamic individuals as this year’s Commencement speakers,” Gormley added. “I’ve known Senator Mark Warner since we were roommates at Harvard law school—his efforts to bring Democrats and Republicans together across party lines to engage in civil discourse and develop bipartisan solutions is impressive. His achievements and those of our other speakers—which range from impactful contributions in secondary and higher education to advancement in technology and philanthropic funding to support nursing education—are inspirational examples for our new graduates to emulate.”
