Wednesday, March 8 - Vietnam Symposium

The Vietnam Symposium provides the opportunity to hear Vietnam War veterans share stories and insights from during and after their service from 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. 

Thursday, March 9 - Phenomenology Center Lecture

World religion expert Dr. Ruben Habito will speak on To Infinity and Beyond with Christianity and Buddhism: Spirituality for Healing our Wounded Selves and our Wounded Earth, at 6 p.m. in the Phenomenology Center. 

Tuesday, March 14 – Wimmer Symposium

Support pre-tenure faculty by attending the Wimmer Symposium, from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. The event features pre-tenure faculty research supported by the Wimmer Family Foundation Awards.

Thursday, March 23 – Refugee Mental Health Lecture

Dr. Vanja Pejic, an attending psychologist at Boston Children's Hospital and instructor of psychology at Harvard Medical School, will speak on Supporting the Mental Health and Wellbeing of Refugee and Immigrant Children and Families in Resettlement Communities at 4:30 p.m.

Thursday, March 23 - Kelly Lecture

Health care ethics expert Gregory Dober will deliver the annual Kelly Lecture titled The Impact of Health Care Law and Ethics on the Incarcerated Individual at 1 p.m. in 613 Union. 

Friday, March 24 – Forensic Friday Explores Wildlife Forensics Issues

The Wecht Institute of Forensic Science and Law will explore environmental crime in its next Forensic Friday from 8:30 a.m. – noon in the Africa Room and on Zoom. The seminar will explore how scientists are better prepared to analyze environmental crimes, such as poaching, illicit logging and gas extraction.

March 28 and 29 - Integrity of Creation Conference

Faculty and staff are invited to attend the Eighth Annual Presidential Conference on the Integrity of Creation: Action for Sustainable Development Goals.

Thursday, March 30 - Darwin Day Explores Sexual Selection

Dr. Michael Ryan will examine if beauty is in the eye – or the brain – of the beholder as the Darwin Day speaker at 7 p.m.

Thursday, March 30 – Center for African Studies Lecture

Dr. Anna Perkins of Duquesne’s Center for African Studies will speak on Secessionist Maroons who have asserted sovereignty: Accompong Maroons and the Jamaica State Today at noon. The presentation will explore the contending notions of sovereignty under the now independent Jamaican state. 

Tuesday, April 4 - Holy Spirit Lecture

The 15th annual Holy Spirit Lecture will feature a talk by Jennifer Wright Knust titled Saint Barbara and the Verisimilitude of the Consubstantial Trinity.
