Another wonderful class of first-year and new students and families will converge on campus next week for Orientation 2024.
An important introduction to life at Duquesne, Orientation offers provides students and families helpful opportunities to connect with fellow classmates, learn more about campus resources and programs, and meet University leadership, faculty and staff.
Developed for students by students, Orientation will be held Wednesday, Aug. 21, through Sunday, Aug. 25, and will celebrate the theme, Connections Enriching Character.
This year’s events and activities will be led by student leaders Skyler Wrubleski, director of Orientation, and Chrissy Bober, assistant director of Orientation.
Faculty and staff should be aware of some of the key Orientation-related events, including:
- Move-In Day: Tuesday, Aug. 20
- Parent and Family Orientation: Wednesday, Aug. 21, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at various campus locations
- Matriculation: Wednesday, Aug. 21, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse
- Parent and Family Breakfast: Thursday, Aug. 22, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., at the Rev. Sean Hogan Dining Center, Towers LLC, second floor
- Mass of the Holy Spirit: Sunday, Aug. 25, 11:00 a.m., UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.
