The 10th annual Duquesne Day of Giving proved to be a resounding success, uniting alumni, faculty, staff, students, parents, and friends in a powerful display of generosity.

This year’s 24-hour fundraising event generated an impressive $749,939, marking the second-highest total in the campaign’s history.

“We are touched by the support from our shared community and the rallying around virtually every area of campus for our 10th annual Day of Giving,” said Hillary Moore, director of annual giving in the Division of University Advancement. “The impact of this event has lasting effects for our students. Investments were made to defray travel costs for conferences, purchase food and hygiene supplies for several of our campus food pantries, grow scholarship funds and much more.”

Nearly 1,300 gifts were made from Pennsylvania, Ohio and New Jersey and from as far away as California, Texas and Italy. Visit the Duquesne Day of Giving website for more details on the 10th annual fundraiser.

“Because of our alumni, faculty and staff, parents and friends made a positive impact, current and future students can reach their bigger goals,” Moore added. “Thank you to our generous donors!”
