After a busy fall semester pursuing and celebrating bigger goals, reflect and enjoy the season and the University community’s collective success. Below are a few end-of-semester dates to keep in mind.

Today: Memorial Mass for Professor Maggie Patterson
The University community is invited to attend a memorial Mass for Professor Maggie Patterson today, Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 12 p.m. in the Chapel. The Mass, offered by President Ken Gormley and McAnulty Dean Dr. Kris Blair, will bring together family, faculty, staff, students and friends to honor Patterson’s life and legacy.

Reminder: FERPA Compliance training can be found in MyLead and CyberSecurity training are due Monday, Dec. 15.

Friday, Dec. 19, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse: Duquesne University Winter Commencement. Faculty and staff are invited to recognize December 2025 graduates at the Winter Commencement Ceremony.

Monday, Dec. 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Student Union Ballroom: University Christmas Celebration. Join colleagues from across campus to celebrate the holiday season. Guests are asked to RSVP online.

Mary Pappert School of Music Events
The Mary Pappert School of Music presents a number of performances throughout the year. Most events are either free or $10 suggested donation. Check their calendar frequently for updates about upcoming events!
