Friday, Oct. 10, 6 to 8 p.m., Silverman Center, first floor, Gumberg Library: Exploring Intersections of Phenomenology and Psychoanalysis: Crossings of Merleau-Ponty, Levinas, and Lacan

The Simon Silverman Phenomenology Center will host renowned psychoanalyst, scholar and author Dr. Eve Watson, the Fall 2025 Visiting Scholar at Boston College. The event will explore connections between phenomenological philosopher Maurice Merleau-Ponty, philosopher Emmanuel Levinas and psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan.

Friday and Saturday, Oct. 17-18, Power Center Ballroom and via Zoom: The 24th Annual Forensic Science and Law Symposium: Law and Medicine, Topics of the 21st Century

The Cyril H. Wecht Institute of Forensic Science and Law, in partnership with the American College of Legal Medicine, will explore cutting-edge issues at the intersection of medicine and law—from DNA ancestry in criminal cases to the impact of CTE and other traumatic brain injuries on law and society, to new issues in organ transplantation, and more.
