After months of renovation, the redesigned fourth floor of Gumberg Library officially opened to the Duquesne community Sept. 17, with a carnival-themed celebration.
The vibrant, modern space is designed to better meet the evolving needs of students,
faculty and staff.
Highlights of the renovation include:
- A variety of new seating options, including booths
- Convenient grab-and-go food from Byte vending machines
- Redesigned Curriculum Center to provide a more welcoming, functional and inspiring environment
- A sleek, easy-to-browse display of the Library of Things collection, showcasing items available for checkout
- Additional collaborative study spaces, including the new Research Huddle Room where faculty and students can meet with librarians for expert consultations (research appointments can be booked online).
The Gumberg Library looks forward to welcoming faculty, staff and students to the new and improved space and continuing to serve the needs of the University community.
