Next week, Duquesne University will proudly welcome another exceptional class of first-year and new students, along with their families, for Orientation 2025.
This important introduction to life at Duquesne offers meaningful opportunities for students and families to connect with fellow classmates, explore campus resources and programs, and engage with University leadership, faculty and staff.
Developed by students, for students, Orientation will be held from Wednesday, Aug. 20, through Sunday, Aug. 24. It will center around the theme: Individually Recognized, Collectively Supported!
Student leaders Chrissy Bober, director of Orientation, and Mary Paternoster, assistant director of Orientation, are coordinating the events and activities.
Among some of the key Orientation-related events are:
- Move-In Day: Tuesday, Aug. 19
- Parent and Family Orientation: Wednesday, Aug. 20, at various campus locations
- Matriculation: Wednesday, Aug. 20, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse
- Parent and Family Dinner: Wednesday, Aug. 20, from 5 to 7 p.m., Power Center Ballroom
- Mass of the Holy Spirit: Sunday, Aug. 24, 11 a.m., UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.
