Thursday, Sept. 18, 4:30 to 6 p.m., Rockwell Lecture Hall 1: Latinx & Hispanic Heritage Month: Activism and Syncretism in Afro Puerto Rican Bomba

Thursday and Friday, Sept. 18–19, Power Center Ballroom: 2025 Fritzky Family Integrative Health Summit
Join students, staff, faculty and health care leaders for a two-day conference featuring lectures and panel discussions on preventive care, longevity medicine, public health, social determinants of health and more. Tuesday, Sept. 23, 12 to 2:30 p.m.: Discover Africa Presents Global Health Security in Africa: Experiences in implementing Public Health Events of International Concern in Kenya 
This presentation will highlight the Global Health issues and challenges African countries deal with as they respond to public health threats and events of international concern. Dr. Jack Nyamongo, country director of Global Implementation Solutions, will provide a virtual presentation.

Friday, Sept. 26, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Gumberg Library, Floor 4: Step Right Up: Gumberg Library Re-Opening Carnival
The Duquesne community is encouraged to join President Gormley at the grand opening of the newly renovated fourth floor—now brighter, better and built with our students’ bigger goals in mind! There will be snacks, games and fun carnival activities throughout the space.
