Join us as we celebrate the Class of 2025 at Winter Commencement, honoring graduates who are prepared to pursue bigger goals and make a meaningful impact in their careers and their communities.
Slated for Friday, Dec. 19, at 11 a.m. in the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse, the ceremony will feature Pittsburgh Mayor-Elect Corey O’Connor as Commencement Speaker. A proud 2007 graduate of Duquesne’s School of Education, O’Connor will share his insights and experiences as a leader committed to serving the Pittsburgh community.
In addition to conferring degrees upon graduates, University President Ken Gormley will present posthumous honorary bachelor’s degrees to Robert Bahl and Anne Schleder Bahl, who each attended Duquesne University. They are the parents of Celeste Nasuti, who, along with her husband Jim Nasuti, made a transformational gift this semester to name the name the Nasuti College of Osteopathic Medicine. Their legacy will continue to shape the future of health care education and patient-centered care for generations to come.
Faculty and staff are invited to join in celebrating this milestone occasion, but the ceremony will also be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person. Additionally, a doctoral hooding ceremony will be livestreamed on Thursday, Dec. 18, at 6 p.m.
We honor the Class of 2025 as they begin new journeys, ready to embrace opportunities and shape a future filled with purpose.
