The University’s Dec. 20 Winter Commencement celebrated the achievements of more than 300 new graduates who are prepared for anything as they embark on meaningful careers.
In addition, President Ken Gormley recognized and awarded presidential medals to Warren Goss, a 99-year-old U.S. Army veteran who was among the first Americans to arrive on the beaches of Normandy on D-Day, June 6, 1944, and Jack Eckenrode, a Korean War veteran of the Air Force and 1950 Duquesne University alum.
