President David J. Dausey invites faculty, staff, students, families and friends to join the Duquesne community for the annual Mass of the Holy Spirit.

Duquesne’s traditional opening of the academic year, the Mass of the Holy Spirit will be held Sunday, Aug. 23, at 11 a.m. in the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse. The gathering brings the University community together to seek God’s guidance and blessings for the year ahead. 

The liturgy will be celebrated with the Most Rev. Mark A. Eckman, D.D., bishop of Pittsburgh, and the Very Rev. John Fogarty, C.S.Sp., provincial superior of the Congregation of the Holy Spirit—Province of the United States. Please R.S.V.P. online. 

All are welcome, regardless of faith tradition. Those unable to attend in person may participate via livestream. Complimentary parking is available in the Forbes Avenue Garage.
