Nominate Outstanding Students for Awards

Each year, these awards honor students whose engagement, service and contributions strengthen the Duquesne community. These honors celebrate the dedication and spirit students bring to campus and highlight how their learning and experiences outside the classroom help Duquesne engage, belong, learn and thrive.

Student Life Excellence in Student Leadership Awards sponsored by Student Housing and Residence Life: 

•  Purpose: Recognizes students who have made significant contributions to the goals of the Division of Student Life through leadership, service and advocacy. 
• Nomination Information: Nominations are live on Campus Link via the Student Leadership Awards Nomination form. 
• Nomination Deadline: Friday, March 13, 2026
• Awards Celebration: Tuesday, April 7, 2026, 6 p.m., in room 613 of the Student Union. Invitations and requests for RSVP to come.

Student Organization Leadership and Service Awards (SOLSA) sponsored by the Center for Student Involvement: 

• Purpose: Recognizes student organizations and leaders who excel in fostering connections, inspiring peers and engaging students through fellowship and community building. 
• Nomination Information: The nomination process opens March 9, 2026, on Campus Link. Additional detailed information about the award categories can be found online.
• Nomination Deadline: Friday, March 20, 2026 
• Categories: 
  • Organizational Awards: Outstanding Student Organization, Best Collaborative Program/Event, Exemplary Dedication to Community and Spirit, Emerging Excellence Award for New Student Organizations, Program/Event of the Year, Deans Cup for Greek Chapter of the Year, Most Improved NPC Sorority and IFC Fraternity GPAs, Greek Week 2026 Winner 
  • Individual Awards: Dean of Students Excellence in Leadership, Student Organization Advisor of the Year, Greek Chapter Man/Woman of the Year, Outstanding Senior (sponsored by the Student Government Association) 
  • Awards Celebration: Monday, April 13, 2026, 6 p.m., Power Center Ballroom. Invitations and requests for RSVP to come.

 Spirit of Community Building Awards sponsored by The CENTER: Fostering Student Connection: 

•  Purpose: Celebrates leadership and academic achievements, highlighting a commitment to the initiatives of The CENTER. 
• Nomination Information: Please email all nominations to Amber Satterwhite at satterwhiteaFREEDUQUESNE, and include a detailed explanation of the reasons for the nomination.  
• Specific criteria for the Ron L. Swain Award nominations can be found online. 
• Nomination Deadline: Wednesday, Febr. 18, 2026 
• Awards Celebration: Friday, April 17, 2026, 5 p.m., Power Center Ballroom. Invitations and requests for RSVP to come.
