Complete your CPIM preparation journey. Prepare for the CPIM Part 2 exam with comprehensive training for internal operations covering master planning, detailed scheduling, execution and strategic management of resources.

CPIM 8.0 is replacing CPIM Part 2.   For any individual who has already taken CPIM Part 1, please consider taking this and getting your CPIM Certification. This course will not be offered again after February 2023. 

For any candidate who has taken CPIM 7.0 Part 1 and is in progress toward your CPIM designation, we highly recommend that you continue with your current education plans and complete CPIM 7.0 Part 2 – as trying to certify under CPIM 8.0 will require you to spend additional time and money. Duquesne’s Center of Excellence as an academic partner of ASCM will offer CPIM 7.0 Part 2 one final time starting Wednesday February 1, 2023 and continuing until April 26, 2023 on Wednesday evenings. The classes will be offered in hybrid mode – in person and concurrently virtually on Zoom or Teams. All exams must be completed by February 1, 2024. Course material will not be offered for sale after January 31, 2023.

New Course – CPIM 8

This course replaces the combination of the CPIM 1 and CPIM 2 courses.  It provides a more streamlined learning experience and certification process with only 1 course and exam rather than two.

Length of Course: 15 weeks

CPIM Course and Exam Details

  • If you have not taken the CPIM 1course, CPIM 8 replaces the combination of CPIM1 and CPIM 2.
  • If you have taken CPIM1, you should finish the series with CPIM2
  • Participant access to online study tools is valid for 12 months from the date of assignment. Students must pass either CPIM1 and CPIM2 exams or the CPIM8 exam to become certified. The exams are each made up of 150 multiple-choice questions within a 3.5-hour time limit.
  • Participants must take the exam within 12 months after bundle purchase date. We will assign the exam voucher to you for an Authorization to Test (ATT) within 6 months of the bundle purchase. The ATT is valid for 6 months for participants to schedule and take the exam.
  • CPIM Part 2 exams must be passed within three years of taking the CPIM 1 exam to earn the CPIM designation.
  • Candidates will ONLY qualify for the 2nd Chance Exam (retake) when they schedule and take their first exam within 180 days of purchasing their valid ATT and fail their exam. The 2nd Chance Exam (retake), if issued, will be valid for 6 months.
