Our Programs

Joint degree programs are offered in partnership with the following schools at Duquesne to meet the specialized needs of students seeking to combine the professional study of business with study in other professional areas.

Palumbo-Donahue School of Business

MSAIM/MBA Joint Degree

A combined 72 credits for these two degrees (30 credits for the M.S. in Analytics and Information Management and 42 credits for the MBA) is reduced to 67.5 credits through credit-sharing.

MSSCM/MBA Joint Degree

A combined 72 credits for these two degrees (30 credits for the M.S. in Supply Chain Management and 42 credits for the MBA) is reduced to 66 credits through credit-sharing.

MSF/MBA Joint Degree

A joint MBA and MS in Finance (MSF) degree will prepare you to be a leader in the business world. A combined 78 credits for these two degrees (36 credits for the MS in Finance and 42 credits for the MBA)  is reduced to as little as 63 credits through credit-sharing.

Thomas R. Kline School of Law of Duquesne University

JD/MBA Joint Degree

Our JD-MBA Program gives you the tools to become successful, whether you aspire to be a business leader with legal expertise, or want to pursue a law career with a solid foundation in management. You may earn both the Juris Doctor and a MBA in four years rather than the usual five. Part-time students may also benefit from these programs. Our program enables you to follow the career path of your choice and provides you with a skill set and professional networks that truly differentiates you from others.

School of Pharmacy

PharmD/MBA Joint Degree

A combined 256 credits for these two degrees, 214 credits for the PharmD and 42 credits for the MBA, is reduced to 245.5 minimum credits through credit-sharing. Total time to complete both degrees versus just the PharmD is extended by one semester. The MBA must be conferred concurrently or after the PharmD degree.

MS in Industrial Pharmacy/MBA Joint Degree

The Duquesne MBA/MS in Industrial Pharmacy joint degree is offered cooperatively by the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business and the School of Pharmacy. 

A combined 72 credits for these two degrees, 30 credits for the MS in Industrial Pharmacy and 42 credits for the MBA, is reduced to 61.5 credits through credit-sharing.

McAnulty Graduate School of Liberal Arts

MA in Communication/MBA Joint Degree

The Palumbo-Donahue School of Business MBA/MA in Communication prepares you with the managerial acumen to become an effective communicator in the workplace. Administered with the Graduate School of Liberal Arts, you will uniquely position yourself for a leadership career. 

School of Science and Engineering

MS in Environmental Science/MBA Joint Degree

The MBA/MS in Environmental Science and Management offers the opportunity to develop a background in science, engineering, and technology that underlie environmental problems. Learn how to integrate and apply the science with your MBA curriculum to become an influential and innovative leader addressing environmental issues.

MBA/MS Biomedical Engineering Joint Degree

This innovative program will give you the acumen to develop innovative technology that enhances quality of life, the financial ability to make those products viable in the marketplace, and the managerial skills to lead successful engineering and technology firms.

Rangos School of Health Sciences

Master of Health Administration/MBA

The MHA/MBA program offered by the John G. Rangos Sr. School of Health Sciences and the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business will propel you to the top of the healthcare industry by preparing you for a career as a chief executive officer, executive director, administrator, and other leadership roles in the industry. You can earn both an MHA and an MBA in as little as three years. For added flexibility, the MHA can be completed entirely online, and the Professional MBA can be completed online or by taking on-campus, evening classes.
