Real Estate

Launching Fall 2026!

We are excited to announce that the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business is introducing a Real Estate major and minor, designed for students who want to shape skylines, transform communities and drive economic impact.

Grounded in Duquesne's academic strengths—sales, marketing, project management, finance, and accounting—this program equips you with the tools to enhance existing properties and lead new development projects.

As a Real Estate major, you will gain real-world knowledge and skills in property development and management, real estate finance, investment analysis, project management, accounting, and tax rules applicable to the industry, and sales—then apply it directly to real estate through immersive cornerstone and capstone projects. Whether you dream of developing properties, managing investments, or transforming communities, this new major gives you the tools to plan, fund, manage and grow real estate ventures from the ground up.

Why choose Real Estate?

A recent study by the National Association of Realtors estimated that the real estate market contributes 18% ($4.9 trillion) to the US GDP. Whether you're interested in investment, design, or strategic planning, a Real Estate degree from Duquesne University will equip you with the knowledge and hands-on experience to make an immediate impact.
