Music is meant to be shared and enjoyed by everyone. 

Regardless of skill level, how long you've been playing, or how long it's been since you last played, NOW is a great time to get started with music lessons.

City Music Center provides music lesson packages year-round for most instruments and voice parts (as well as music composition and recording/production). Work with your teacher to build a flexible lesson schedule that fits your needs and lifestyle. All ages (youth and adults) are welcome. Jazz lessons are available for Bass, Drums, Guitar, Piano, Saxophone, Trombone, Trumpet and Voice. Be sure to select the jazz option for your instrument when you register.

New Lesson Package Options

Effective July 1, 2025:
We now offer Full-Semester Packages (Fall and Spring) for all lesson durations! 
Benefits include:

  • All full-semester packages include 14 private lessons
  • Fixed Saturday lesson schedule (in-person with online options as needed)
  • Lower base rate per lesson than other lesson packages
  • Weekly music theory tutoring sessions available
  • Scholarship support to cover any faculty surcharges
  • Formal and informal recitals as well as performance honors
  • Financial awards through participation in CMC Juries

NOTE: All full-semester lesson packages must occur on Saturdays within the scheduled dates for each semester. Fall semester begins August 16, 2025 and ends December 13. 2025 (register by Friday, September 5, 2025). Spring semester begins January 10, 2026 and ends May 16, 2026 (register by Friday, January 23, 2026).

How to choose your lesson duration:

Choosing the right amount of time for you and your teacher is really important. Age and level of skill play a big part in choosing your lesson duration. Typically younger students and beginners start with 30-minute lessons and work their way up to a full hour with age and experience.
