Dr. Mary Ellen Glasgow, PhD, RN, ACNS-BC, ANEF, FNAP, FAAN, nationally renowned Dean of the School of Nursing and Vice Provost for Research, will resign from her role as Vice Provost for Research for Duquesne University Office of Research and Innovation (ORI) at the end of the fall 2023 semester (effective December 15) to focus her energy on new initiatives at the School of Nursing.

Dr. Glasgow has led the ORI since 2021. During her time as Vice Provost for Research, she restructured the Office to better support faculty research and prepare the University to open the new College of Medicine. Dr. Glasgow provided strategic leadership, expertise and operational direction for research activities at the University. She transformed the Office by elevating the research enterprise and leading efforts to modernize the University’s research policies and procedures.

Dr. Glasgow leaves the role having created a firm foundation on which to expand research opportunities. She has ensured that ORI is well positioned for 2024 and beyond.

Dr. Glasgow has left an indelible mark on the Office, for which the University is deeply grateful. She will continue on in her role as Dean of the School of Nursing.
