Duquesne University President Ken Gormley has reappointed Dr. Dean McFarlin to a fourth-consecutive term as dean of the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business.

“For the last decade, Dean McFarlin has successfully and energetically led the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business to greater heights,” Gormley said. “He has ensured that our business students gain the depth, discipline, professional experience and greater sense of purpose on their journey to becoming the difference makers of tomorrow. I’m proud to share that he’ll continue his important work as dean of business at Duquesne.”
 
Currently in his 10th academic year as business dean, McFarlin has been at Duquesne since 2013. Under his guidance, the school has developed and implemented a broad strategic plan, including a master plan to renovate Rockwell Hall; enhanced alumni and corporate engagement and partnerships; instituted an Executive-in-Residence Program; launched the Duquesne New Venture Challenge, a national entrepreneurship competition; and established seven centers of excellence to support innovative research and applied educational experiences for students in the areas of entrepreneurship, supply chain management,professional selling, student success, business ethics, sustainable business innovation and investment strategy.
