Faculty are encouraged to watch the quick start video for tips about the new Duquesne Portal. CTS is offering open office hours for questions or help with this new tool. Visit duq.edu/portal for dates and times.
The Duquesne Portal, launched June 2, 2024, is a new platform for students, faculty and staff that provides access to online
services and resources within a modern interface designed to work on mobile devices
with the same ease as you experience on a desktop or laptop computer.
This new mobile-first product replaces and contains all of the connections from DORI.
To access the portal, go to duq.edu/portal. There you’ll find the links to download the Duquesne Portal to your mobile device. You will also have access to quick get-started videos for faculty, students or staff and a link to written instructions.
The new Duquesne Portal provides:
- The ability to personalize your dashboards and tailor notifications to your own needs
- Streamlined access to employee benefits, payroll information, and professional development resources.
- A tiled and highly visual interface for easy navigation and accessibility
- One point of access to campus news, announcements, events and faculty resources
Two examples show how the design team employed user feedback to gather similar resources
in one place.
In the first example, one click on the Faculty Resources tile opens access to Canvas
instructional resources, faculty travel registration, Faculty Handbook information
and more:

As a second example, a person can click on the Faculty Class List & Grading tile for access to a Class List, to submit final grades, or to get a detailed personal schedule:

We encourage you to watch the quick start Faculty Video for more tips and information. In addition, visit duq.edu/portal for open office hours with CTS where you can ask questions or get help with this exciting new tool.
