In a time of rising antisemitism, this interdisciplinary panel engages the theme From Darkness to Light to examine and explore meaningful responses to this enduring phenomenon. Panelists will consider the roles of pedagogy, interfaith dialogue, artistic practice, and civil and memorial discourse in understanding, confronting and countering antisemitism. Register now.

Join us for a moderated conversation with Dr. Barbara Ross-Lee, a pioneering physician, educator and national leader in medical education, who made history as the first Black woman to serve as dean of a U.S. medical school at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. Throughout her distinguished career, she has advanced physician leadership, medical education and healthcare equity while helping shape the future of osteopathic medicine through academic medicine, health policy and physician training.

Thursday, April 16, from 4 to 6 p.m., Fourth Floor, Gumberg Library: The Really Really Free Market
This community-driven event is built around the idea of a gift economy—a space where people share resources, skills and creativity without buying, selling or trading. Everything is freely given and freely taken. Moving out for the summer? Bring gently used items you don’t want to take home. Have a skill or activity you’d like to share? Bring a craft, game or demonstration. Participants are encouraged to stay with their items or activity during the event and take home anything that isn’t claimed at the end of the evening. Join us as we explore The Serviceberry: Abundance and Reciprocity in the Natural World by Robin Wall Kimmerer.
