Recruiting Opportunities

The CSO is happy to assist with your recruitment efforts and connect you with the talented students and alumni of the Duquesne Kline School of Law!

Employers are invited to post full-time, part-time, and project-based opportunities for students and alumni.  All postings will appear on our job board, DuqLawConnect, where students and alumni look for opportunities during the school year and summer months.

Employers can provide information in the manner that's most convenient to them:

  1. Complete a job posting form;
  2. Post details directly to DuqLawConnect; or
  3. Contact the office at lawcareers@duq.edu or (412) 396-6559.

The Career Services Office invites employers to conduct interviews at the Thomas R. Kline School of Law of Duquesne University during the fall and spring semesters. The on-campus recruitment program, known as OCI, allows employers to meet with a large number of candidates during a relatively short period of time. The service is open to all employers - private firms, judges, government agencies, corporations, academic institutions, and public interest organizations.

Interviews may be scheduled on-campus at the law school, at the employer's office, or virtually, according to the employer's preference.

Fall 2023 Recruitment Program
Interviews will be held from July 31 - November 10, 2023.  Employers are invited to complete a registration form.  Upon receipt, the CSO will confirm your registration via email.

Spring 2024 Recruitment Program
Interviews will be held from January 22 - April 5, 2024.  Employers are invited to complete a registration form.  Upon receipt, the CSO will confirm your registration via email.

The Career Services Office will host Small Firm Interview Week during the Spring Semester each year. This event provides employers with an excellent opportunity to recruit for law clerk and entry-level attorney positions!

The 2024 recruitment event will take place from March 11-15.  If your firm is hiring for summer law clerks, entry-level attorney positions for 2024 graduates, or law-related positions that could be of interest to our Evening students, please consider joining us! Interviews can be held at your office, at the law school, or virtually.

Employers should register or contact Becca Edmiston, CSO Assistant Director, at edmistonr@duq.edu or (412) 396-6277.

If you're not hiring at the time of Small Firm Interview Week, the Career Services Office will gladly help with your hiring needs by posting a traditional job posting or collecting resumes for you to review.  Please contact Becca Edmiston, CSO Assistant Director, at edmistonr@duq.edu or (412) 396-6277 for additional information in that instance.
