Congratulations on your acceptance! Review the following admission terms and conditions.

First-Year Applicants

Your acceptance and any scholarship/s awarded are contingent upon the successful completion of your high school program and our receipt of your final, official high school transcript, which will be used to verify your self-reported information and that you graduated. If the information reported is incorrect we can rescind the offers.

Transfer Applicants

Your acceptance and any scholarship/s awarded are contingent upon our receipt of your final official college transcripts and the receipt of your final high school transcript.

Scholarships

All scholarships and/or other awards received will be automatically credited to your student account when you enroll at Duquesne. Scholarship funds are used to defray tuition costs only. Scholarship recipients who later receive full-tuition scholarships regardless of source (athletic, ROTC, etc.) will have their admission-based scholarship/s rescinded or reduced. A portion of your Duquesne University Academic Scholarship/s may be funded from the proceeds of one or more of our endowed scholarships. Your Duquesne academic scholarship/s may be renewed each academic year for a maximum of eight semesters of undergraduate study (with the exception of Pharmacy which is 12 semesters) provided you maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average.

Pittsburgh Promise Room Award

The On-Campus Room Award is for Pittsburgh Promise students only-those who apply for, and are assigned, on-campus housing. Room awards may be renewed for a maximum of eight semesters of undergraduate study, regardless of the program. Your award will be canceled if you do not reside in Duquesne University housing or affiliated campus housing. On-campus housing is guaranteed for your freshman and sophomore years only. Room awards are not transferable to off-campus housing. Scholarships are applicable to Fall and Spring semesters only; summer enrollment is excluded. You must also be enrolled as a full-time student at Duquesne University.

Need-based grants, loans or work-study

To be considered for any need-based grants, loans or work-study, you must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This form should be filed when it is available in December 2023. You can complete the FAFSA online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Your eligibility for need-based funds will be determined by our Financial Aid Office. The Duquesne University code is 003258.
