Discover Business – Undecided
Are you still deciding on a major? That’s okay! Many students begin college before they decide on a major, and many students change their major at some point in their academic journey.
First Semester Experiences
You will take our First-Year Innovation Class during your first semester at Duquesne. This collaborative experience will give you the opportunity to see how our majors operate together in a corporate setting, as you work in a team with other first-year business students to solve a real-world problem for a real organization. Working with your team will give you the opportunity to interact with students in a variety of majors, and your team mentor will be a valuable resource for major and career advice. Teams have the opportunity to present their solutions to the organization’s executives and compete for cash prizes and a great resume line.

The first four semesters of a business student’s journey are dedicated to building foundational knowledge, exploring areas of study, and meeting BRIDGES requirements.
- Take business core courses to get a taste of every major.
- Meet students who have declared a major and ask your peers questions.
- See a sample graduation plan to learn more about classes you might take.
When you apply, select the “Discover” option as an area of interest overall or as a major option within business. Learn more about the Discover program at Duquesne.
