Graduate scholarships and tuition discount programs offered by the School of Nursing
Duquesne’s School of Nursing remains committed to delivering one of the strongest
graduate nursing educations in the country. In alignment with our mission to serve
students and expand access to high-quality healthcare education, we are pleased to
offer graduate nursing students* one of the following scholarships and tuition discounts:
A 25% scholarship
A 35% scholarship
A 55% tuition discount**
*The Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice program is not eligible for any of these
scholarships/tuition discounts.
**This basic tuition rate is equivalent to the graduate liberal arts rate for those seeking
graduate degrees as published in the most current Duquesne University Tuition, Fees, and Room and
Board pricing.
Scholarships and Tuition Discounts
25% Scholarship
Graduate nursing students are eligible for a 25% scholarship. You will automatically
receive this award if you are admitted and have submitted your deposit.
Admitted and enrolled as either full-time or part-time in a Duquesne University School
of Nursing graduate degree or certificate programs*
Have submitted your deposit to for your graduate program

Process
After you are admitted and enrolled, and submitted your deposit in the School of Nursing
graduate program, you will automatically have the scholarship added to your account.
35% Scholarship

Enrolled as either full-time or part-time in a Duquesne University School of Nursing
graduate degree or certificate programs*
Full-time, part-time or casual employee at one of our partner organizations (Please check back as the list is updated periodically)OR a current member of a partner organization

Process
After you are enrolled in the School of Nursing graduate program, review the partner
organizations to determine your eligibility.
Complete scholarship applications must be received no later than the fourth Friday
of the current semester. Applications received after the deadline will be processed

Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc. is a professional organization open to all registered professional
and student nurses (men and women) representing many cultures and diverse ethnic backgrounds.
More than 8,000 Registered Nurses and Student Nurses hold memberships.
Current members of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated (CEP) may receive a 35% scholarship
for our online graduate nursing programs.
The Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice program is not eligible for any of these scholarships/tuition
discounts.
Available to current NAHN members
The Western PA Chapter of NAHN is open to all professional and student nurses (men
and women) who are interested in the promotion and advocacy of health and wellness
in Hispanic communities. The Western Pennsylvania chapter is committed to the communities
in Western Pennsylvania and the surround areas.
Current members of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses (NAHN) may receive
a 35% scholarship for our online graduate nursing programs.

Available to current employees
If you are an employee at one of partner organizations (listed below), you may be
eligible for a 35% scholarship toward our online graduate nursing programs.

Additional Details
Duquesne University's tuition remission program provides a 55% tuition discount for
adjunct clinical instructors who are also enrolled in one of the School of Nursing's
graduate programs. The tuition discount is available for each semester of your teaching
contract. The University charges a Tuition Remission Administrative Fee. Please also
see the Graduate Tuition Rates.
Adjunct Clinical Instructor positions are available in the BSN or the Second Degree
BSN program.
Clinical sites include UPMC and Allegheny Health Network hospitals in Southwestern
PA, as well as St. Clair and VA hospitals. Specialties include med/surg, obstetrics,
pediatrics and mental health.
Clinical assignments are typically 15 weeks in the fall and spring semesters. Instructors
work a minimum of one 8-hour clinical day per week, and a maximum of three clinical
days per week. Summer teaching positions are also available with our Second Degree
BSN students.

Part-Time Undergraduate Clinical Instructor
Become a member of our part-time undergraduate clinical faculty
Duquesne University's tuition remission program provides a 55% tuition discount for
graduate clinical faculty who are also enrolled in one of the School of Nursing's
graduate programs. The tuition discount is available for each semester of your teaching
contract. The University charges a Tuition Remission Administrative Fee. Please be
certain you are aware of the Graduate Tuition Rates.
Graduate Clinical Faculty positions are available in the MSN, FNP, AGACNP, and PMHNP
programs, but positions are dependent on student enrollment and faculty need. An eligible
candidate must already be a practicing CRNP, who is licensed in Pennsylvania and board-certified
through ANCC or AANP.
Clinical oversight is exclusively online and no site visits are required by Graduate
Clinical Faculty.
