Accounting Honors Institute

Sign Up for One, Two, or All Three Modules!

The Accounting Honors Institute is open to all high school students who have an interest in business and have been nominated by their teachers. Teachers and counselors will be asked to nominate two or three students for this program. An interested student should ask a teacher or counselor to serve as a sponsor. Seating is limited and registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis.


2022 Modules

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)

Two weeks:
Jan. 22 and Jan 29, 9:30 a.m.- 12:00 p.m.

  • Learn how to use a fully integrated computer system
  • Extract business information
  • Learn how to make timely business decisions

Fraud and Forensics

Two weeks:
Feb. 19 and Feb. 26, 9:30 a.m.- 12:00 p.m.

Learn about different types of white collar crime and use forensic accounting techniques to investigate criminals who:

  • Steal company money
  • Help themselves to company inventory
  • "Cook" the books

Financial Statement Analysis

Two weeks:
March 19 and March 26, 9:30 a.m.- 12:00 p.m.

  • Learn how to find net income and cash
  • Evaluate a company's profitability
  • Learn about company stocks


There is a $25 fee per module for this program, ($65 if you choose all 3 sessions). The fee covers all books, activities and materials. Participate in all three modules for $65.
